Have you ever started something thinking that it wouldn’t take much time? And after you had dug your teeth into it you realised that you had grossly underestimated it?
Yes, us too. For us it was getting Choose Cruelty Free (CCF) accreditation.
CCF is a proudly Aussie, independent organisation, which tirelessly campaigns for an end to animal testing of cosmetics, toiletries and other household products. They really want to make people just like you aware of your power, as a consumer, to change attitudes about testing products on animals by choosing cruelty free products whenever possible.
Getting our CCF accreditation wasn’t difficult as such, but it took quite some time to complete. Mainly because we needed information from so many different suppliers who have their own busy businesses.
But we kept on plugging away little by little and politely following up (pestering) suppliers (again and again) and FINALLY … ta-da…
The reason we persisted with this is because we believe animal testing is completely unnecessary. It makes us sad to think of the needless suffering of innocent animals. And we like being happy, not sad.
Have you heard of Ricky Gervais the comedian? He’s a bit crass at times but he sums it up well.
That may be an oversimplification but you get the gist.
Besides, we have so many fantastic 2-legged human volunteer product testers, why would we need to test on fluffy bunnies? (We’ll be sending out our first test jars of our new Rich Repair Cream very soon to a lucky 24 who signed up at the end of last year.)
The Choose Cruelty Free accreditation criteria are probably the most stringent in the world. That speaks volumes to us and makes our accreditation all the more meaningful.
The CCF team were amazing to work with and helped us in many ways to ensure that all of our ducks were in a row for accreditation. No ducks were harmed during our accreditation process
So look out for the bunny logo appearing on our website and products in the very near future! You’ll see our name on the Choose Cruelty Free website very soon too. Maybe you’d like to check out their handy mobile app to keep a list of animal friendly companies on you whenever you go shopping.
If you have been cruising around the website lately, you’ll notice that we have added some new and exciting options for regular deliveries. You can now choose from a bunch of different products to add to your delivery (like a cleansing balm if you tend to run low!!). And you can also choose how often you want to receive your delivery. Mmmm… How convenient!
But we have noticed that many people are still a little confused on how regular delivery works and how flexible it can be. This is perfectly understandable as it is something a little different.
Hopefully this makes things a little clearer.
You can log into our website anytime you like to switch your products or frequency, pause, or cancel your delivery. Plus as of next week or so we’ll have the ability to email you a few days before your delivery is due to make sure you’re not caught by surprise when it comes around again
