It's not just the amazing formula of this cream that we're excited about - it's the packaging too. We've made a leap to using 100% recyclable tubes which are also biodegradable. This is a huge deal, since typical plastics become landfill, but these tubes are made with a special enzyme that allows them to biodegrade over time. It does still take 100 years for this process to take place, but 100 years is waaaay better than never at all. ;) Plus you don't want a tube biodegrading on your bathroom shelf now do you? The tubes also have a much smaller carbon footprint than any kind of glass bottle or jar. Now you can see why we're so excited.

The product that started it all is back!

It was waaaaay back in December 2010 when Happy Skincare came to life with the release of our original Anti-Ageing and Repair Cream.

Happy Trivia: It was going to be called ‘The One’ Cream. I think we were watching too much Lord of the Rings and tried to create ‘the one’ cream to rule them all. :)

Memories of the early days are still vivid. Aaron can still picture Phoebe sitting up in bed in the maternity ward after the birth of little boy #1, processing orders. (Don’t worry it wasn’t too strenuous, there was no miraculous overnight success story!)

Moments like that really set the foundation for what our grand vision is for Happy Skincare - even from a hospital bed we will do what we can to help.

Looking back, there’s nothing like learning through doing, and the Anti-ageing and Repair cream definitely taught us a few lessons.

If you’re not one of our Happy Skincare ‘originals’, you probably haven’t even heard of the Anti-Ageing and Repair Cream. That’s because naively we didn’t realise the popularity of the original Anti-Ageing Cream until we stopped making it!

So we had to bring it back.

It wasn’t supposed to take this long, but there were a few things from the original cream that we knew had to be changed. We were determined not to rely on synthetic preservatives, and we wanted to make it vegan.

The difficult part was making the changes without losing what everyone loved about it.

It needed to be a deeply hydrating, rich, luscious cream that soaked in quickly and didn’t feel heavy at all. Since sensitive skin and dry skin go hand in hand, it also needed to have an oh-so-subtle scent without using essential oils so it would be suitable for the most sensitive of peeps.

It took 16 different formulations and jumped over a few other hurdles but we did it and here it is! Enjoy X
