It’s with an *immense* amount of happiness and a few sighs of relief that today we can announce that the new Happy Shed is OPEN! Woohooooooo.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind as we finished renovating and moved into the brand new, bigger, snazzier, custom-built Happy Shed.

There may have been a few late night email replies (sorry about that!), and we may have moved a bit sooner than we should have (sorry for being under your feet builder and electricians), but WE DID IT :)

The team is still settling in and we’re getting things just how we like them, but we’d be absolutely thrilled if you want to pop in and see where your favourite skincare (and deodorant) is being created now, at our new home in Adamstown.

So if you’re in Newcastle and looking for something to do, come say “hi”. You’ll find us at 12/75 Bailey St, Adamstown NSW 2289.

New products on the way!

Today’s news isn’t just about our new digs - we have some new members to the Happy Skincare family arriving very soon too.

  • New ultra-rich night cream - This has been requested soooo many times and this luxe restorative night treatment is almost ready for your bathroom shelf (and it is absolutely choc-a-block full of amazing ingredients).
  • Woohoo Mellow in a stick - It took a while to perfect this formula, but this is now our favourite of all the Woohoo sticks! It’s bicarb free but smashes B.O. like a boss.

These new kids on the block will be ready in late November. Exciting times :)

Thank you so much for being on this amazing journey with us. We can’t wait to start this next chapter in Adamstown!

Real Talk - How seriously do I need to follow expiry dates?

Yes it’s true - in Australia cosmetic products don’t need to have an expiry date displayed. But when a cosmetic chemist develops a formula the goal is for it to last *unopened* in the bottles on a shelf at room temperature for 2 years. Minimum. But how long you have to use it once it's opened is another matter.

Moth Bean - a natural retinol alternative (yay!)

Moth Bean - despite its very unflattering name - has some pretty flattering powers. Its greatest power lies in its ability to provide retinol (Vitamin A)-like effects on your skin, but without the side effects. You can imagine our excitement when we discovered that there's now a natural and safer retinol alternative.
